Discover the Moulin de Monjous
A place of History
Alternately flour mill, sheepskin washing workshop and even bombshell manufacturing plant during the First World War, the Moulin de Monjous is a place full of history(s)! It found its educational and social vocation in the 1940s, hosting the Congregation of the Salesians of Don Bosco for more than 70 years.
A new vocation : conviviality
Abandoned, it was rehabilitated from 2015 to 2017 as part of an educational project by the Don Bosco Institute. The architects took care to preserve the elegance of the beautiful stones and the bucolic refinement of the place, by combining them with a contemporary decoration. The Moulin de Monjous thus combines tradition and modernity: in contrast with the traditional exterior facade of the Bordeaux region, discover inside the Moulin an alliance of raw materials, bright colors and retro touches, for a refined and warm style.
For a stay that makes sense
The revival of the Moulin de Monjous embodies the safeguarding of a unique heritage, but also an educational mission of professional integration intended for the development of workers with disabilities. The quality of the services is provided with professionalism by a team whose values are based on respect for people, love for a job well done, involvement and dedication to customers.
Choosing the Domaine du Moulin de Monjous means taking part in a human adventure which advocates values of respect and dignity to support young people and adults towards professional autonomy.
